Gabriela Lungu is an integrated communications expert, with almost 20 years of experience, including 13 of senior leadership. Her background spans advertising, PR & social media, working both in Romania and abroad.

Her most recent role was Creative Partner with the DISRUPTION agency TBWA\London. She moved from Bucharest to London in 2013, to be first EVP & Consumer Practice Leader for EMEA and then Chief Creative Officer for UK & EMEA of the global PR firm Weber Shandwick.  

Before that, in her home country she ran successfully two Romanian agencies. One was the local office of Ogilvy Public Relations. The other one was her own – she founded THE PRACTICE in 2006, a boutique focused on results through creativity; Under her leadership the agency grew rapidly in both business and reputation: it was ranked #13 in the world in PR creativity, as per the Holmes Report Creative Index 2012, Top Overall Agencies (irrespective of size); it won Eastern Europe Consultancy of the Year title in 2013 (EMEA SABRE Awards), and was nominated as European Newcomer Agency of the Year in 2009 (European Excellence Awards) or as Emerging Markets Agency of the Year in 2013 (Global Sabre Awards). It won the Romanian PR Agency of the Year title twice (2009 & 2012). The agency was acquired by Publicis Groupe in 2013, and it became in 2014 an MSLGROUP office.

Gabriela is often invited as a keynote speaker to major local & international industry events to speak about creativity. She has been in 2014 the Chair of both the iconic CLIO Awards and the Dubai LYNX International Festival of Creativity, the PR Juries. She has also been in the recent years a juror for other top international competitions such as Cannes LIONS, Campaign BIG Awards, Dubai LYNX, EMEA SABRE Awards, Young LYNX, EUROBEST Young Creatives, as well as judging for Romanian PR Award. This year she was part of the Direct jury for the prestigious D&AD Professional Awards.
