Managing Director, Legeion

Andre Manning is a seasoned and results oriented international communications leader with global experience in traditional and internet based – consumer as well as business to business – industries.  He has lived and worked in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Central Europe and the United States. 

Currently he is the managing director of Logeion, the Dutch organization for communications professionals. Since he started in April 2017, Logeion membership grew from 3,200 to 4,100 members while he also revamped the organizational strategy and execution. Logeion’s biggest annual event is C-DAY, which is now the biggest one day communications conference in Europe with more than 800 attendees.

Additional to his Logeion role Andre is enjoying interim communications leadership roles, most recently at AkzoNobel, AFM and Amcor where he designed and deployed a new communications strategy. Prior to his role as the Head of PR and Public Affairs at Booking.com, where he built a global function and introduced the pro-active “rolling thunder” PR approach, he has held various international communications leadership positions within Royal Philips.

During his time at Philips he improved the efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of the communications function and introduced a new company wide PR agency model, including an award winning and industry leading PR measurement system. He was included in the 2011, 2012 and 2012 Holmes Report 100 list of the World’s Most Influential Communicators while he was awarded PR measurement expert of the year by PR News in 2012. During his leadership at Philips the company won the award for the best reputation in the Netherlands for six consecutive years.

When he is not working, he enjoys listening music or reading history and literature.
