Cătălin Hosu

President of The Romanian Public Relations Association

Cătălin is in the communication industry since 1997. His successful career started in journalism, where he always worked for leaders of the market, then moved in 2003 to PR and Corporate Communication for a major industrial project. In 2015, Cătălin started as independent consultant for clients in various industries, mainly for major companies and corporations, but also for start-ups and small NGOs, but went back to a corporate communications role in 2021, as External Relations Director.

In 2022, he has been elected President of The Romanian Public Relations Association (ARRP – Asociația Română de Relații Publice) after eight years as vice-president. Also, he is Association Member of the Board of Management of International Communication Consultancy Organization (ICCO), member of World Communications Forum Association (WCFA) – where he also serves as member in the Finance and Governance Committee. He also has extensive jury experience, being member of Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards Jury (since 2019) and of the Davos Communication Awards Jury.

In his spare time, Cătălin likes to travel, read, and listen to rock music and is passionate about sports – both watching and playing (badminton, basketball, football, and tennis) and smart city topics. He is “Mayor” of Orasul.Digital (Digital City), a platform established to inform and educate about all technologies and developments that can make us live better in our communities and got involved in many community projects.
