Manuela Macchi is Sustainability Fractional Executive and ESG Consultant and Advisor, supporting companies in integrating ESG and sustainability into their strategy. Focus areas: ESG strategy, ESG Project Management, Sustainability Reporting/Non financial reporting/DNF, Stakeholder Engagement, Health&Safety, Diversity&Inclusion, Human Rights, Employee Volunteering, Responsible Supply Chain, Benefit Corporations.
She is also Associate Partner YourCEO, a division of YOURgroup, and leader of the Practice Sustainability. YOURgroup is a network of more than 200 senior managers that introduced in 2011 the Fractional Executive model in SMEs in Italy.
Previously, Manuela Macchi has been Head of Sustainability of Holcim Italy for 12 years during which she created the function, defined the company CSR/sustainability strategy, launched the company journey based on openness, dialogue and transparency and managed interfunctional and international projects in different ESG areas. She was Holcim Awards for Sustainable Construction Coordinator for Italy. During the same period, she was a member of the Communication working group and leader of the Sustainability Task Force of the Trade Association.
Manuela Macchi is a member of CSR Manager Network since 2007 (Board Member 2012-2020), of Fondazione Sodalitas (Board Member 2018-2021) and of NedCommunity. She is the leader of one of the commissions of the Oscar di Bilancio, the recognition promoted by FERPI, Borsa Italiana – the Italian Stock Exchange – and Bocconi University, which annually awards the most virtuous companies in reporting activities and in stakeholder engagement. Manuela Macchi has written several articles about CSR/ESG studies in Italian and English and is teacher at courses about ESG/SDGs.
She received a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University, Milan and then she attended an advanced course in Senior Management at IMD, Lausanne. Subsequently, she attended several courses in management, governance and ESG.
