Professor Tony Meehan – FRSA, FCIPR, was educated at St Georges Westminster School, and Metropolitan College London. He is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and past Fellow of the International Public Relations Association and the Strathclyde Institute.
His public relations career spans a period of 45 years. He is the founder and chairman of the international award winning Consultancy TMA Communications Limited.
His company represented major UK and International companies in Scotland including; Argyle Group PLC, American Airlines, Arcadia PLC, Bank of Scotland PLC, Buchanan Galleries, Burton Group, Debenhams, The Catholic Church, CBI GlaxoSmithKline UK, National Health Service, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish & Newcastle, Schlumberger, Scottish Press Awards, United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority.
TMA Communications is the recipient of five Golden World Awards, CIPR Sword of Excellence Award and numerous PRCA Outstanding Consultancy Awards.
His professional experience covers many aspects of public relations; Corporate and Financial Affairs, Crisis and Issues Management, Conflict Resolution, Internal Communications, Brand and Product launches, Corporate Social Responsibility. He has lectured and presented conference papers on Crisis and Issues Management, International communications, Media Relations, the Future of Public Relations at professional and educational meetings and conferences in Europe, North America, Russia, Africa, China and Kuwait.
