Daniel Silberhorn

Daniel has almost 20 years of experience in sustainability and communications with a global perspective across cultures, being committed to making a positive impact in everything he does. 

Daniel has a keen interest in business’s role as a corporate citizen in society as well as the possibilities and responsibility of communications and the PR industry as a positive catalyst for urgently needed sustainability transformation. He helps promote good practice and PR education. 

As a Senior Advisor ESG & Sustainability Transformation at SLR Consulting, based in Frankfurt, Germany, he helps clients achieve their sustainability goals with a focus on sustainability leadership and transformation. He is leading multidisciplinary teams to support companies across their full sustainability journey and covering all sustainability topics including strategy development, sustainability narrative, circular economy, climate, ESG reporting and ESG integration. 

Before joining SLR Consulting in 2021, Daniel supported national and international companies with their strategic corporate communication including sustainability, media relations, crisis, and trainings, working as a corporate communications consultant for global agencies Burson and FleishmanHillard. 

Daniel serves on the International Public Relations Association’s (IPRA) board since 2021 and is an IPRA international Golden World Award jury member since 2019. As founder and chair of IPRA’s climate change chapter, he helped develop IPRA’s climate change communications guidelines in 2022. Daniel also teaches sustainability and communication at universities across Europe, and leading the German branch of the 15 countries PR education project GlobCom out of Erfurt University, Germany.
